gosimless O2 eSIM contract and pricing information
1. Applicability
These provisions apply to gosimless eSIM mobile plans provisioned on the O2 network. They are supplemental to our Terms of Service. If there is any inconsistency, the provisions set out here apply specifically to eSIM UK mobile services.
2. Prices, VAT and RRP
All prices shown are Recommended Retail Prices (RRP) and exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. VAT will be applied where required by law. For travel and roaming charges the VAT treatment may vary by destination. See section 12 for Europe zone VAT guidance.
3. Plan overview and inclusions
All eSIM plans are monthly recurring plans and include unlimited domestic (UK) calls and SMS. Each plan's data allowance, EU roaming allowance and any inclusive international minutes or SMS are set out below in the Plan Summary section. VoLTE and WiFi Calling are available for supported devices. Speeds are uncapped but are subject to device capability, network load and location.

5. Billing period, proration and first month charges
The monthly billing period begins when you subscribe to an eSIM mobile plan. Thereafter, billing periods are aligned to calendar months and reset on the 1st of each calendar month.
For the first partial month after subscription, any free allowances are prorated to reflect the time remaining in the calendar month. Example: subscribing to a 20GB plan on the 15th of a 30 day month will provide a prorated allowance of 10GB for the remainder of that month then the full 20GB allowance from the 1st of the following calendar month.
If you change plan mid-calendar month, allowances for the new plan will be prorated in the same way. Charges for plan changes will be calculated pro rata to the calendar month.
6. Recurring billing, cancellation and refunds
All plans recur monthly until cancelled. There is no minimum contract period and you may cancel at any time. There is no right to a pro-rata refund for early cancellation. Any charges already billed for a calendar month are non-refundable.
7. Activation, device compatibility and restrictions
eSIMs can only be used with eSIM-compatible devices. Smart watches are excluded. It is your responsibility to ensure your device is compatible. There is no activation fee, and we do not perform credit checks as a condition of connection. UK residency is not required.
8. Speeds and network performance
Download and upload speeds are not capped but will vary according to device capability, coverage, network load and your location. We do not guarantee a minimum speed.
9. Spend cap, bolt-ons and overage
A default spend cap of £1 applies to all new connections. Customers may purchase bolt-ons for additional or non-inclusive usage and may request removal or alteration of the spend cap by contacting gosimless customer service via WhatsApp on +447888863135 or via email on hello@gosimless.com. Removal of the cap or purchase of bolt-ons may be subject to terms set by gosimless. Where applicable, data overage charges are applied at the per plan rates set out in Section 4. Overage may apply to non-inclusive roaming usage and other out-of-plan usage.
10. Number porting
Customers have the right to port into gosimless and to port out their gosimless number at any time free of charge. Porting times are subject to the receiving and gaining operators' procedures.
11. Fair Usage Policy - UK data and roaming
Unlimited UK data is subject to a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) of 650GB domestic usage per calendar month. Customers who exceed 650GB domestic data in a calendar month will have their data services barred until the end of that month.
Customers who consistently use high volumes of data but remain under the 650GB FUP may be subject to further limitations or other restrictions to protect network performance for other users.
Roaming in the Europe Zone is intended for periodic travel such as holidays or short breaks. Prolonged or regular use in the Europe Zone that does not reflect reasonable holiday or business travel patterns may be treated as unfair use. Use of services in the Europe Zone for 60 or more days in any four month period is likely to be deemed unfair use and will be a breach of this policy. In such cases we may charge you for, or suspend, access to roaming services.
12. Roaming, World Pass and VAT in Europe
Inclusive EU roaming allowances are shown in each plan summary. Once an inclusive roaming allowance is exhausted, roaming data and calls will be charged at standard roaming rates or any applicable World Pass charges.
World Pass options: 24 hour World Pass at £7.50 per day; 30 day World Pass at £99 per calendar month. These apply to all O2 mobile plans and are optional add-ons. World Pass prices are RRP exclusive of VAT.
Europe VAT treatment - for charging and VAT purposes we treat destinations in two groups: VAT free and VAT plus. Where VAT applies, it will be added to the RRP at the applicable rate.
Europe (VAT free): Guernsey, Isle of Man, Republic of Ireland, Jersey, French Guiana, Gibraltar, Guadeloupe, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Martinique, Mayotte, Monaco, Norway, Reunion, Saint Martin, Switzerland.
Europe (plus VAT): Austria, Azores, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Vatican City.
13. Usage not included in allowances
Allowances do not cover: calls or texts to premium rate numbers, calls to non-geographic numbers, and calls or texts made from within the Europe Zone to a destination outside the Europe Zone. Such usage will be charged at standard per-minute or per-message rates.
14. MMS and other charges
MMS messages are charged at 40p per message across all O2 mobile plans unless included by a specific add-on.
15. Suspension, abuse and fair use
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict or terminate service where a customer's use is abusive, fraudulent, or in breach of these terms, including the Fair Usage Policy and the roaming restrictions in Section 11. Where suspension occurs we will provide notification and reasons where reasonably possible.
16. Limitations and liability
Services are provided subject to O2 network availability and the network operator's terms. Gosimless does not warrant uninterrupted service and is not liable for network outages, coverage limitations or third party roaming provider failures except as required by law. Consumer statutory rights are unaffected.
17. Changes to plans and notice
gosimless may modify plan features, allowances, prices and these terms in line with our Terms of Service. Where changes are materially adverse we will provide notice in accordance with our Terms of Service.
18. How to contact us and purchase bolt-ons or remove cap
To remove the spend cap, purchase bolt-ons, change plans, or for any questions about your account, contact Gosimless customer service via the channels shown on our contact page. Payment, billing and plan change requests will be handled in accordance with section 5 of these terms.
19. Examples - proration calculation (worked example)
Example 1 - First month pro-rata: You subscribe to the 20GB plan on 16 September. From 16 to 30 September you receive a prorated allowance equal to the portion of the month remaining. From 1 October your full 20GB allowance applies and the regular monthly fee will be charged on or around 1 October.
Example 2 - Mid-month plan change: On 10 October you move from 20GB to 50GB. Your 50GB allowance is prorated for 10 October to 31 October and the new full allowance applies from 1 November.
